Hispanic Chamber installs new officers

The Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held its Installation and Awards Dinner last Friday at Famiglia Bistro Ristorante in Modesto.

“It has been an honor serving as the president of the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber. The CVHCC is known for being a very welcoming Chamber with an amazing board. Working with such talented individuals has been very rewarding; every board member brings special talents that have helped propelled the chamber to where it is now,” reads a statement from the outgoing President Roberto Martínez.

The new board members and officers are: Christine Schweininger, President; Víctor Randolph, Vice President; Jennifer Hidalgo, Secretary; Teresa Kinney, Treasurer; Roberto Martínez, Board Member, Past President; Ben Cantú, Board Member, Past Treasurer; María Rangel, Board Member, Past Secretary; Virginia Madueño, Board Member; Pablo Tagre, Board Member; Katharina Chaname, Board Member; and, Sabino Saso, Board Member.

“It is a known fact that it takes hard work dedication and time to accomplish your goals and the CVHCC with its new board will not only reach them but exceed them in 2016,” read Martínez’s statement.

The Chamber’s award recipients were: Evelyn Rojas, Ambassador of the Year; Modesto Chamber of Commerce, Partner of the Year; Business of the Year, Rancho Fresco; and, Congregations Building Community, Non-Profit of the Year.

“Latino businesses have grown and thrived but we need to do better... It’s about partnership and making the community bigger and stronger,” said Patterson Mayor Luis Molina, who served as the Master of Ceremonies during the event.
