If it late October, then Día de los Muertos is not far behind. That was the reason hundreds of people showed up in downtown Modesto on Oct. 20.

The Day of the Dead event, which has been popularized by the success of the Disney/Pixar movie ‘Coco,’ included altars to the dead, a car show, music, folkloric dancing and more.
