Party planning has a name... Atiza

Andrés Sánchez, 31, considers himself a full-time employee and not a business owner. His work ethic started when he was a child helping out his parents in their music store and today he is in charge of Atiza Party Supplies on Crows Landing Road.

"My parents started selling music CDs and cassettes in the flea market in 1978. Later in 1988 they opened their own store but in 1995 we started to sell items for parties and things have turned out well for us," Sánchez said.

The business sells wedding and quinceañera dresses, attire for first communion, baptisms, table arrangements, favors, bibles, toast glasses and pretty much everything related to a religious or social gathering.

There are a total of 7 employees and the store is opened 7 days a week.

"Keeping a business is a daily struggle, but my motivation is my wife, my children and my parents," Sánchez said.
