Radio personality gets his own star

Many of the greatest artists in the Mexican Regional music, such as Los Tigres del Norte, Jenni Rivera, Alfonso Lizárraga, Tony Melendez, and El Chapo de Sinaloa came together in Las Vegas to pay tribute to one of the key personalities in the U.S. Hispanic radio markets, programmer, businessman, and radio personality, Juan Carlos Hidalgo.

Hidalgo, who was born in Tariácuri, Michoacán and has been in radio for more than 20 years, is the founder of,, and has been named one of the most influential people in the industry. He received the 46th star in the Las Vegas Walk of Stars.

Getting to the top is not an easy task, but Hidalgo admits it has been a smooth ride for him.

"Life has been very good to me. This country has been extraordinary to me. I haven't had any challenges, and I say it because I enjoy what I do. It has never been difficult to be in radio or do events. Success comes natural when you do what you love and you enjoy it," Hidalgo said.
