Charisma, a good sense of humor, and unique composition skills have catapulted Armando Christian Pérez to international stardom.
Pérez, better known as Pitbull or Mr. 305, has been in the music business for over 10 years but it was in 2009 that he became a phenomenal hit thanks to his album, 'Rebelution.'
Singles like 'I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),' 'Hotel Room Service,' 'Krazy' and most recently 'Shut it Down' took the No. 1spot in the music charts. Thanks to his contagious music style -- a combination of hip-hop, reggaetón, rap, reggae and others -- Pitbull has gained the world's attention, including that of megastars like Shakira, Paulina Rubio and Jennifer López who have asked for his collaboration.
But the most important thing for this Cuban American is not fame, or money, it is his fans.
"I always say it, without the fans there is no Pitbull. I appreciate that they always support me and my movement," said Pitbull, 29, during an interview on LatinRapper.com.
A 16-year-old Pitbull knocked on many doors and his raise to stardom took time but today, his music is well received in many parts of the world, including Europe and Latin América.
