Puerto Rican singer Melina León debuts as a composer on her ninth album, 'No Seas Cobarde' (Don't Be A Coward), which she dedicates to all the women who suffer the lack of commitment or respect from their partners.
"To the women who are in a situation of despair, anguish or fear; to those who feel humiliated, cheated or disappointed," reads the dedication on the CD jacket.
The singer wants her first single, 'No Seas Cobarde' to become the hymn for abused women.
"I wrote this song with that wish: for women to dedicate this song to that person who is unfaithful to them and is not sincere. Someone who is a coward," said León.
During her trip to Miami, she visited a haven center for women who have been victims of domestic violence.
