Jenni Rivera is known as 'diva de la banda,' who has sold more than 15 million copies and has receiving multiple gold and platinum albums and awards.
Her husband, Esteban Loaiza, was a pitcher for some of the most important teams in the MLB such as the Los Ángeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and the New York Yankees.
Last weekend, both Rivera and Loaiza became the second couple to receive stars in the Las Vegas Walk of Stars in Las Vegas -- the other couple is Emilio and Gloria Estefan.
"I never imagined all that has happened. It was not my desire, and it didn't become my desire to become a successful singer until I saw so many doors closed. It was until then that I strived to achieve something to show my kids that the doors that had been shut for their mother were going to open," Rivera said. "After everything that has come out on television during the last month, this is a beautiful way to close a chapter and start another one."
The Rivera and Loaiza stars were placed in front of the MGM Grand next to those of Lily Estefan, Raúl de Molina, and Banda El Recodo, among other important figures in the entertainment industry.
